Top 3 Toys to Get Your Dog for Christmas

We are officially into December which means Christmas is right around the corner.  That means we need to string the lights on the house, set up and decorate the tree and start buying gifts and presents for everyone in our families.

What about your Dog?

As a dog owner, I own a 12 year old Wiener Dog, with no kids, I tend to think of my little Annie as my child. ( I'm sure I am not the only who does this.)  But what do you get a pet for Christmas?  Most dogs I am familiar with, just like ripping the wrapping paper and helping humans open their own gifts.

Every year I Google, popular dog gifts for Christmas, just to get ideas to spoil my little dog/girl.  Below are the Top 3 Toys to Get Your Dog for Christmas.

1) New Dog Bed

New Dog Bed

Dog bends are full of bacteria and are rarely cleaned.  A new bed is a great idea to give your dog something they can sleep in and that is also clean.  If you make it a tradition to get a new bed every year for Christmas, your dog will be happy and you will have the peace of mind that your dog is lying in a dirty bed all year.

2) Doggy Boots

Doggy Boots

There are several dogs that love the snow and don't seem to mind the cold weather, but for the others, winter months are not very pleasant.  Just because dogs have fur, doesn't mean they don't feel the cold.  Imagine walking outside in just socks in the snow.  It will take a couple minutes, but your feet will become very cold.  If your dog doesn't like the cold weather, invest in a solid pair of dog boots and your dog will be happy you did.

3) iFetch

This has been around for a couple of years now, but I haven't seen the price as low as it is in 2017.  The iFetch, for those who are unaware, is a small machine that plugs into your a standard electrical outlet.  It allows the dog to easily place the ball in the top of the machine then shoots the ball across the room without any human needed.  They come in several sizes to accommodate all sizes of dogs. If your dog loves fetch, but you get tired out before they do, check out the iFetch; you won't regret it.
